Fresh Flowers, Real Relationships
We started Balidex in 2018 because we noticed something odd. People kept ordering flowers online and getting disappointed. Stems arrived wilted, colors looked nothing like the photos, and delivery times were more like suggestions than commitments.
How We Got Here
Back in early 2018, our founder Leyla Mammadova was trying to send birthday flowers to her grandmother across Baku. Three different services. Three failures. That frustration turned into a business plan.
We started small—just Leyla and two florists working out of a tiny shop near Fountain Square. The rule was simple: treat every arrangement like it's going to someone you care about. No shortcuts, no excuses.
Seven years later, we're still following that same principle. Our team has grown to twelve people, and we handle about 200 orders a week during busy seasons. But we haven't lost that original commitment to quality and reliability.
What Matters to Us
Fresh Always
We source flowers daily from local growers and international suppliers. Nothing sits in our cooler for more than 48 hours. If it's not fresh, we don't send it.
Time Matters
When you pick a delivery window, we stick to it. Our drivers know Baku's traffic patterns, and we build in buffer time for the unexpected stuff that always happens.
Personal Touch
Every arrangement is put together by hand. Our florists know which roses open slowly, which lilies have the strongest scent, and how to make colors work together without looking forced.

Leyla Mammadova
Founder & Lead Florist
I spent five years working at a luxury hotel before starting Balidex. That experience taught me what attention to detail actually looks like—and how rare it is. These days, I split my time between working directly with clients who have specific visions and training our newer florists. The best part of this job? Seeing someone's face when they open a box and the flowers are exactly what they hoped for.

Our Process
Morning Selection
Every morning at 6 AM, we inspect incoming flowers. Stems get checked for firmness, petals for color consistency, and leaves for any signs of damage. About 15% gets rejected right away.
Custom Assembly
Our florists work from your order details, but they also use their judgment. If a specific rose variety looks better than usual that day, they'll use more of it. If something's slightly off, they'll substitute without compromising the overall look.
Climate-Controlled Delivery
Our delivery vehicles maintain consistent temperature year-round. In summer heat or winter cold, your flowers travel in optimal conditions. We also package arrangements to prevent shifting during transport.
Real Follow-Up
We check in 24 hours after delivery. Not with an automated email, but with an actual person asking how everything looked. If there's an issue, we address it immediately—not with excuses, but with solutions.
